In order to attract new members Membershop has been created in Modiin. Local shops and organisations were approached – ESRA would promote them and they would give reductions to ESRA members and display the ESRA sign on their premises. In 2 months 25 participants has signed up.

An ESRA trip to the Dead Sea and the surrounding area was a huge success - as reported by Cynthia Barmor. Among the pleasant surprises were Champagne for breakfast, and an interesting visit to Massada.

Cynthia Barmor co-chairperson of ESRA Modiin, is a medical worker at the Schneider Children’s Medical Center, a leading pediatric center where minor ailments as well as major organ transplants are carried out and the latest medical care is administered.. The children also receive social, emotional and educational support in modern well equipped conditions.

Esra’s new Modiin bookshop is a smash hit

ESRA Modiin raises funds to support their afternoon center for children at risk. The secondhand bookshop brings in a good regular income, lectures and an evening held with other branches also boosted their funds. Many volunteer activities are also run with great support from the community.

ESRA Modiin has announced a new partnership with Modiin Ladies – ESRA, formerly known as the Modiin Ladies Circle. The two volunteer groups will combine efforts under the umbrella of ESRA in order to better serve the community.

On November 18, ESRA Modiin participated in the municipality’s first ever open book exchange. ESRA volunteers had an opportunity to distribute thirty ESRA Magazines and talk about the bookshop to Israelis and Anglos alike – which was excellent exposure for ESRA.

As part of the launch of ESRA Modiin Membershop Perks, members were hosted to a health day at the local Holmes Place.
