Was a journalist, worked for Jerusalem Post and Israel English Radio, free lance writer and wrote a column for a number of Jewish Weeklies in US called "A View from Zion." Produced documentaries for ESRA vision and is a regular contributor to the ESRA magazine. Also teaches English as part of ESRA oral English Bagrut program.
Ecuador has plenty to offer visitors. Motie Zaslow visited the modern city of Quito high up in a narrow valley, Otavelo with its large open market and Mindo which is a great tourist resort. Five days were spent in a very damp jungle where tree monkeys, very large spiders, Piraña fish and tarantulas were amongst the species that were seen there.
More...Darwin researched his evolution of the species in the Galapagos Islands. Motie Zaslow describes his visit to small islands that make up this nature reserve. Travelling in special small boats the group saw many interesting and rare species including giant turtles, penguins, lizards, sea lions and a great variety of birds.
More...Shevach Mofet is at technical High School in Tel Aviv. Most of the students are from a Russian background, as are a majority of the teachers. Motti Zaslow who volunteers tutoring English cannot speak too highly of the highly motivated students and the teachers who want only the best for them.
More...Motti Zaslov visited California for the first time in 15 years and was struck by the changes in the demographics and looks of the people he enocuntered there. He concludes "I've read demographic studies of the US and it's estimated that within another 40 years Anglos will be a minority in the US. I don't know what the situation is in other states but with California being the most populated, from my perspective I would say that number is way off and today's minorities will be the majority much sooner."

More...First inhabited 2,500 years ago Apollonia archeological site is now the setting for music. Throughout the summer, on a Friday two hours before sunset there is a concert. All types of music are featured including Irish, jazz, cinema, folk and songs of peace. The atmosphere is always pleasant says Motti Zaslow, the music good and the setting beautiful.
More...With an engineering degree from Manchester University and his love of flying Mike Gal had the ideal background and the desire to help Israel. Smuggled in to Israel in 1947, his flying abilities were well used and he also helped establish the countries first commercial airline. In the 1960's he had a change of career - he became the first native English speaking guide in the country and with his wife Bracha established their own tour firm. He guided many interesting and famous people on their visits to Israel.
