Rhoda Goodman

Rhoda who has an Honours Degree came on aliyah in 2008 with her actor husband Bernie. They have 3 children and 9 grandchildren . In the UK she served in the directorships of Shaare Zedek UK, Chai Cancer Cure, and the office of the Chief Rabbi. Her local volunteer work includes Barzilai Medical Center and the English Speakers of Ashkelon committee. She also volunteered at the Jewish Association for Physically Handicapped (UK). Rhoda's writing experience includes articles, magazine editing, and press releases.

Rhoda relates her experiences of travelling abroad with only hand luggage, and gives some useful tips and challenging ideas.

As the rockets fall at 2am, residents of Ashkelon have only 20 seconds to rush into their safe rooms or shelters. What happens if they are caught outside when the sirens go off? The local hospital too, which is inadequately protected, is exposed to the rockets and cannot function when it is most needed. The doctors are both Israeli and Arab doctors and they treat Israeli and Arab patients.
