A back-to-work session in progress in Raanana

A couple of years ago I was on the verge of giving up. As a lecturer and marketing coach in this dynamic youth-worshipping age, I thought I was over the hill. Nobody wants to see and hear anyone my age anymore. We're done for, used up and invisible to the new generation.

Then word of a new course at the Raanana Senior Recreation and Culture center came through – a back-to-work course for over 60s!

You can imagine my surprise. It sounded like an oxymoron.  At the introduction, we were told that the course promised 65% success of attendees in gaining employment. Already over 600 people have participated and benefitted from this to date.

As an additional perk, the course was almost totally subsidized (NIS150 for 15 lessons of 5 hours each). We learned what employers are looking for, how to adapt our knowledge and experience to very marketable skills and market needs and we were directed to new ways of thinking and doing that changed our viewpoints, gave us better knowledge and enabled new approaches. Many participants began to work within weeks.

At one of the lessons I gave an hour and a half lecture which enjoyed resounding success because, as a result, Shipour invited me to become one of their lecturers in courses throughout the country.

Today I give workshops to the ultra-orthodox in Bnei Brak, young single mothers in Kiryat Gat and managers of work facilities in Haifa. The gratification I have from these is among my most satisfying professional experiences today.

This course was one of the best presents I ever received. Thanks to Shipour Institute, partnering with Eshel of JDC, who hold these courses at different venues throughout the country.

New courses will be opened shortly in Herzliya, Hod Hasharon, Jerusalem and other cities.

If you are interested or need to get back to work – this is the best and most effective platform I have found. Call them today – Shipour 1-800-20-60-61
